Our Favorite Photo Gift Ideas, Just in Time for the Holidays

We’re sure you’ve already noticed the prominent holiday displays at your local stores. The gift giving season is almost upon us, and we’ve been happily perusing the internet looking for great photo gift ideas to share with you. Whether you’re so crafty that you’ve got decoupage and a matte cutter at the ready, or you’d rather leave the actual making of the gifts to the experts, we have ideas that everyone on your list will love.

For grandparents, aunts and uncles

Fact: the people who love your kids as much you do love getting gifts that creatively display pictures of them.

Calendars. Whether it’s a monthly calendar hung on the wall or a desk diary, calendars are a great way to keep your favorite snapshots front and center. You can even take photos of your child’s artwork and mix that with candid and posed shots of your little artist.

Fridge Magnets. Wouldn’t it be great if every time Grandma went to the fridge to refill her eggnog, she got a smile from seeing her grand children's likenesses stuck to the fridge? Use an online service or try a DIY approach by printing off photos from your memory web and gluing them to sheet magnets.

Phone cases. Wouldn’t grandpa love to show off pictures of his grand kids every time he whipped out his phone?

Coasters. Combine Aunt Jenny’s love for her antique dining table with her love for her nieces and nephews by making some coasters featuring their sweet faces.

Drinking glasses. Coffee mugs are so last year. Transfer your photos onto drinking glasses to freshen the concept.

For kids

Photo gifts aren’t just for grandma and grandpa. Your kids will love seeing pictures of themselves in keepsakes and games.

Flip Books. Take a photo burst on the playground and turn it into a flip book! Your kids can watch themselves swing and teeter totter when the weather is too frightful to go outside.

Flash cards. Learning is even more fun when it’s personal. Create ABC flashcards with photos of people and objects your child loves.

Temporary tattoos and stickers. There’s never been a kid who doesn’t love stickers. For a super easy stocking stuffer, print family photos, or photos of your kids’ artwork onto temporary tattoo paper or sticker paper.

Memory games. Pick your favorite twelve pictures and print each one twice to create a unique memory/matching game. You can even use a piece of your child’s art as the back of the deck picture.

Puzzles. Your favorite photo of the family pet would look great blown up and made into a jigsaw puzzle.

Board Books. Even the youngest kids will love a photo gift if it’s turned into a board book they can enjoy for years to come.
