The Key to Our New KeyWords Features

MemoryWeb's keyword functionality has some distinct features we think you'll find very helpful for adding and finding keyword metadata! To activate and use the new keywords functionality in your account, follow these steps.

Step 1: Download Your Keyword List from the Settings Menu

This first step is the key to activating the new keyword functionality. To download your keywords list, open your MemoryWeb account in the website or Android version of the app, and then click the avatar in the upper right corner to open the Settings menu. From there, you will choose the Download KeyWord List option and follow the steps to email the list to yourself.

NOTE: Depending on the size of your keywords list, it may take up to an hour for the email to be generated and reach your inbox.

Step 2: Activate Keywords Sorting Functionality Inside MemoryWeb

The email you receive will be comprised of two items: a PDF attachment that shows your keywords listed in alphabetical order/with the file names and a link to view the list inside your MemoryWeb account (only be visible in the web or Android versions of the app at this time).


VERY IMPORTANT:

In order to make the keywords views visible inside your MemoryWeb account, you must do one of the following:

  1. Click a file name in the PDF to view item in the web or Android app
  2. Click the hyperlink to open/activate the main keywords page

The Group By Keywords view will not be visible in the web app/Android until you do either 1 or 2 above. It will always be available from that point forward.

Step 3: Navigate Keywords

Keywords will be sorted alpha by default. Use the search box to find a keyword quickly. If you don't remember all your keywords, that's where the PDF attachment in your email comes in really handy!

Step 4: Updating the Keywords List/View

If you modify your keywords (add/delete) then you'll need to resend yourself the list in order to have them appear on the Group by Keywords view. There is a prompt at the top of the page that will let you download the latest list. Your updates will be visible once you receive the new email.
