We've enhanced our desktop uploader tool to import the Google Takeout ZIP files - you don't even need to unzip them first. Then we apply the sidecar file data to the photos as they are imported into your account!

Steps for MemoryWeb subscribers*

  1. Use Google Takeout to export your Google Photos images
  2. Download the exported ZIP files and save them on your computer
  3. Open MemoryWeb Desktop Uploader
  4. Click browse
  5. Find the ZIP folder(s)
  6. Add to Uploads
  7. Click Upload

MemoryWeb's desktop uploader will automatically unzip the Takeout folder so photos will be associated (and tagged to) the albums you had set up in your Google Photos account.
